The cord looks great and was super easy to install. The assembly definitely suggests that it's meant to be mounted to an existing electrical box. We don't have one where we hung our fixture, so we got slightly shorter bolts and used a floating ground. But we're very pleased with the adapter kit and are so happy to finally have overhead light in our living room!
